Three Kings, Arts and Crafts & a Desperate Search for King Cake

Tiger asked me today what the Twelve Days of Christmas are. I explained that they are the twelve days from Christmas to Epiphany. Naturally, his next question was, "What's Epiphany?" (Any adult who needs an explanation can go to this link. One explanation per day is my limit.)

You know a holiday is a holiday when you can do a Google search and find an arts and crafts project. Although, I have to say, I have some reservations about building a creche with toilet paper rolls. It really sounds like it would be cute, though.

Now that it's Epiphany, I'll be beating the bushes for a King Cake. Last year, after our Epiphany pageant at church, we had "King Cake." Funny, they looked an awful lot like cupcakes to me. I'm really hoping to not have to try and make my own. Sigh.

Oh, to be in Louisiana, now that King Cake season is here. Happy Epiphany!

Well, the feast day is over, but the season lives on --- I do know that we had a friend here who ordered a King Cake from some place in Louisiana.
