6:00 am the alarm goes off. Hit snooze. Hit snooze. Hit snooze. Stagger out of bed at a quarter to seven, and head for the kitchen. Breakfast. Laundry in washer. Kids up. Personal hygiene. Pack for day. Laundry in dryer. Look for Tiger's shoe...Look for Tiger's other shoe. Fold towels from the night before while children dither. Pack important stuff into van. Pack kids in van. Turn off dryer so as to avoid tragic fire. Put dog out. Lock house. Unlock house to get more important stuff. Leave.
Arrive at theater. Greet children. Talk to parents. Get kids on stage and warmed up. Spend day at theater doing important stuff. Lunch. Games. Sing a little. Dance a little. Wave goodbye to sweet children. Feed own kids (again). Hang out while waiting for the next theatrical event of the day.
Rehearsal. 3 hours.
Rush home. Eat. Bathe kids. Vacuum. Dust. Wash costumes. Wash more towels. Clean bathroom. Bathe self. Send Sal a message. Loiter on Facebook.
It's not Tuesday? I guess I'm still in Mississippi. Theater camp is kicking my tail. And then AFTER camp every day we have rehearsal for Bye Bye Birdie, which both Butterfly and Tiger were cast in, until eight. (But it NEVER ends at eight!) So, we are there from nine thirty in the morning until we drop.
Sal has contacted his mother.He LIVES!!!! (I'm so glad.) The C.F.O. is enjoying his temporary bachelorhood,I think. He has nightly dibs on the remote.What's not to love?
