Wow, what is that, it looks delicious! We're always on the lookout for good campfire recipes for all our camping trips :)

It is Damper (Australian bread)
The receipe is: 2 cups of self raising flour, 1 cup of water, pinch of salt.

However, the girl scouts made it, we asked them to make 4 times the quantity. When they said they were ready to cook it, it looked like soup. Even though it was hotly denied, someone must have miss counted either the cups of flour or water. So the mothers continued to add flour until it began to resemble dough. Then the girls kneaded it, and we threw it in the greased dutch oven. They cooked it for about 40 minutes (very weak fire) - a normal amount of coals it would probably take 20 minutes. You slather it with butter and golden syrup (molasses). Delicious crusty bread. You can put raisins in which give it a sweet taste. If you do then get the kids to poke the raisins inside the ball of dough before you put it into the dutch oven.
