I love my sister.

This morning I am going to meet her and my nephew at the airport.

They are just making a connection.

I might get to hug them....

If they have enough time to go back through security.

And if they don't, well...

Waving across barricades,

It's how we show love in the modern age.

Summer

(The C.F.O.'s completely awesome Father's Day Flower.)

 

Now that theater camp is over, it feels like summer has finally started.

 

Here are our scheduled summertime activities:

 

*Lounging on the sofa.

*Spraying each other with the garden hose.

*Eating popsicles.

*Cooking on the grill. (The kitchen is CLOSED until Labor Day! Just kidding. I wish!)

*Sitting on the front porch while Tiger and Dog Sunday play fetch.

*Naps. And then more naps.

Gonna Be

Cleaning house and listening to 80's music.

Could be worse.

Dog Tired

I think we're all dog tired. Three weeks of theatrical productions have worn us out! Have a great weekend, and we'll see you Monday!

Mean Girl

Butterfly has encountered one. I hate it. In general her theater pals are wonderful. But this one... I really think this one just needs attention, but it is hard when your little darling is the target of her attention seeking behavior.

So, how do I guide Butterfly? We've tried the *ignore it* thing. Fail.

We've tried the *find nice things about her* thing. Major fail.

Should we try the *turn Butterfly loose on her* thing?

Hmm...

Poor Mean Girl. She wouldn't stand a chance.

I think we'd better move on to the *avoid her* thing, and avoid the shellacking.

Magic Carpet Ride

Last week wasn't all work. We had a little fun now and then.

The Magic Carpet is the number one reason to go to Theater Camp.
